the Musrara, the Naggar Multidisciplinary School of Art and Society in
Jerusalem.
THE POISON

POISON – I think of the approaching catastrophy - it is like a life on a volcano.
People are afraid but they still live there and are happy.
People observe signals which the nature sends us.
Maybe artists and scientists feel more and they deal with it in their works.
We people aren’t alone.
We are together inhabitants of the earth; from east to west and west to east.
This is why I realized my film The poison, because signs of poison seep slowly in our life and immerse us.
And a question:
Where will there be a place on earth for a woman, a man, a child and a dog.
The special shape of the screen suggests the viewer's presence in the space of the shelter or attic. From there, the viewer sees a kaleidoscope of events from the window.
Music highlights the growing catastrophe. We are at the epicenter of events.

I have long been interested in hybrid form in art.
I wrote a book Hybrid/2014/ and gave the same title
to a 5-screen synchronic projection /2015/
(unfortunately it has not been shown yet for technical reasons )
The new work Poison /2017/ follows footsteps of the hybrid.
